In 1912, L. Silverberg left his family in Poland to pursue opportunities in the United States. After digging ditches for 13 years, he saved enough money to bring his family over, buy a horse and buggy, and start a scrapyard in Minnesota.

In 1941, Quality Metals, Inc. began business as a thriving and expanding business dedicated to delivering the highest-quality sheet aluminum and steel products. Now in its fourth generation of owner-operators, Quality Metals has earned its reputation for uncompromising quality, outstanding service, and competitive prices.

Fast forward a few decades, and Silverberg’s grandson bought the land for Quality Metals’ current location in St. Paul, a former creosote plant for railroad ties. Today, L. Silverberg’s great-grandson, Gabe, is the fourth-generation owner of Quality Metals.
